Reliability of results
The results of the Full STI Profile, or STI screening test, are 99% accurate for STI detection. This is because the test samples are processed by an accredited UK laboratory under the strictest procedures. All STI testing kits are processed within 2-5 working days, from the time the lab receives the completed test sample.
Preparation for the test
Itís advised that you do not urinate for at least 2 hours before taking the test. You should also wait 2 weeks after the risky event before you take an STI test to ensure the most accurate results. This is because the STI screening test may not be able to identify the infection with completely accurate results within this 2-week window period.
