Cerascreen Food Intolerance Test

Food intolerances are caused by eating certain foods such as wheat or dairy products which donít interact well with your body. They can lead to uncomfortable, but not life-threatening, symptoms such as bloating, tiredness, stomach pain and headaches. Food intolerances are much more common than food allergies and the two are often confused. Food intolerances can easily be managed by simply avoiding those foods which cause your intolerance which is why itís so important to take a food intolerance test.

Intolerance testing

There are limited methods of food intolerance testing you can choose if you are worried about an intolerance. To begin, you could try the elimination and challenge diet where you simply cut out certain foods from your diet to determine the source of your intolerance. If you choose this method, you should cut out only one foodstuff at a time for at least three weeks.

If you find that the elimination and challenge diet doesnít work for you, you can buy an intolerance finger prick test online. At TestDiagnostics, we offer an accurate test for food intolerances. The Cerascreen Food Intolerance Test will check for intolerances to the following foodstuffs:

  • Fruit (strawberry, kiwi, banana, orange)
  • Meat (beef, chicken, pork)
  • Milk (cow, sheep, mare, goat)
  • Grains with gluten (oat, barley, rye, spelt, kamut)
  • Grains without gluten (quinoa, wild rice, amaranth, buckwheat)
  • Hen egg
  • Potato
  • Wheat flour
  • Rice
  • Peanut
  • Soy bean

Taking the Cerascreen Food Intolerance Test

Taking a Cerascreen Food Intolerance Test is simple. All you need to do is click on the button below to discreetly order your test with us. You will receive your intolerance testing kit in the post within just a couple of days, directly from our partner laboratory.

When you receive your test kit, you can take the test immediately. Ensure you carefully follow the instructions provided in the Cerascreen Food Intolerance Test kit and complete all required forms to ensure you receive the most accurate results possible.

This test requires 100ul Ė two or three drops Ė of blood to be collected from your fingertip using the included safety lancet. Once you have managed to draw just a small amount of blood, simply press your finger over the capillary collection tube provided to store your blood sample. When ready, ensure you complete all forms and post your completed test sample and forms back to our partner laboratory using the pre-paid envelope that is included in your test kit.

Your results will be emailed to you within one week of the laboratory receiving your sample.

Please note this test should not be administered to a child younger than 5 years of age. This test requires the use of a safety lancet to administer a pinprick of blood to be used for sampling.

If you receive a positive test result for any of the above-mentioned food intolerances, we recommend cutting down on your consumption of that particular foodstuff or simply removing it from your diet altogether. You should also visit your doctor or dietician to discuss your options.
